Content Management System    

A content management system is used to manage contents of a Web site. The CMS allows the web adminstrator who m may not know HTML, to manage the creation, updating, and removal of content from a Web site without needing the expertise of a Webmaster. The CMS compiles that information to update the Web site. The features of a CMS system vary, but most include Web-based publishing, format management, revision control, indexing, search, and retrieval.
   
Event calendar    

The internal list of events that are scheduled for the current time or future times.For example, when a server begins its service time on a specific entity, the application inserts an entry into the event calendar for the completion of service on that entity at a future time. In a system representing elevator passengers, this event calendar entry might represent the event whereby a specific person in an elevator reaches the desired floor.
   
Forum / Discussion Board    

A forum or discussion board (known also by various other names such as discussion group , discussion forum , message board , and online forum ) is a general term for any online "bulletin board" where you can leave and expect to see responses to messages you have left. Or you can just read the board. The first discussion boards were available on bulletin board system s. The software that searches an index and returns matches. Search engine is often used synonymously with spider and index, although these are separate components that work with the engine.
   
Survey and Polling System    

This application can handle an unlimited amount of polls which are stored in a database. Each poll or survey can have up to 5 possible answers although this can be changed easily. Currently coded to allow users to only vote in one survey per session. When this page is displayed, a random survey is selected from the group in the database.
